Neuro-linguistic programming or NLP is a set of processes that help you develop empowering behaviors, patterns and form new habits. NLP helps people to become aware of unconscious patterns and rewire the pathways in the brain to create the desired outcome. NLP is used widely to enhance professional development and personal performance. The combination of coaching and NLP techniques helps create lasting positive behavioral changes. 

Because much of coaching in today's world takes place on the phone or online, ALCN’s integrated NLP training helps the coach to listen to different levels and identify any language patterns that indicate a client’s self-imposed limits. The NLP coach can then pose powerful questions or introduce the idea of multiple perspectives through skilful questioning to help the client first become aware then transition those behaviors. NLP skills help transform how you think, learn, communicate and interact with the world while Somatic embodiment techniques help your clients to access and unlock their inner wisdom and resourcefulness.

Our world is moving at an incredibly fast pace and driven by technology which has created humans to become disconnected from their bodies. Having techniques to support clients tuning into the wisdom of their body allows them to access easily and effortlessly answers that their logical mind cannot. Cultivating mind-body connection is more important than ever in this fast-paced world where people are becoming more and more disconnected, from their bodies, from themselves, from each other, and from what is going on in the world around them.

The word ‘Somatics’ originates from the Greek word ‘Soma’, which means ‘the living body in its wholeness’. Somatic therapy is based on the belief that the mind, spirit, and emotions affect the body – and vice versa. The main role of 'somatics' in the coaching process is to: 

• make you aware of how the mind affects the body, and vice versa;
• create experiential exercises you can do with one to improve the other.

Often, the body has the answers and it is our job as coaches to help tap into it and unlock them. Somatic coaching is based on the idea that people do not necessarily change just because they have gained intellectual knowledge. They change because they engage in new behaviors and ways of BEING.

People learn best through doing. That’s why it’s so effective to learn through physical experience – actually doing it! This is where NLP meets Somatic Coaching. NLP coaching exercises allow you to experience new ways of doing, thinking, and being which in turn makes you aware of how the mind affects the emotional state and the body. 

Embodiment can be explained as simply as the way we are, how we feel, make connections and perceive the world. However, the embodiment also encompasses the way we experience the world, interact with others, create and move through life. It is a field of study dedicated to exploring and understanding the subjective experience of the body. What does our posture say about us? The way we move, sit and stand can change the way we think and communicate.


Through bodily motion and awareness, we both present and shape ourselves. Leadership is embodied. When we think about influential people, what image comes to mind?


Embodied awareness can allow us as leaders, coaches, and change-makers to have greater integrity and foster deeper connection in our lives and in the lives of those around us.


The program is a self-study program that starts on February 15th, 2022 at 7 pm EST. You can start the program from this date or later since the content will be within the online portal. All live Q&As are recorded and uploaded onto the portal so that you can watch these at your leisure. There is a Q&A submission section so you can ask your questions prior to the live calls. We will then go over your questions live. This helps if you are unable to make it to the calls.

You have access to your coach throughtout the program. You'' recieve 32 one-on-one sessions with them over the duration for the program. You will also be on group coaching calls hosted by Helen.

The Facebook group is a great place to ask questions and get valuable feedback from your peers.
